P.J. Walker Will Start Against Rams
2 years agoCarolina Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks said that quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) "had a great workout this morning," but P.J. Walker will get the start in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. Mayfield is officially listed as doubtful, but if he does wind up being active, he'd serve as the backup. It will be Walker's third NFL start, and he'll be going up against a defense that will most likely make life very difficult for him. The 27-year-old has attempted 128 passes in three NFL seasons, throwing for 790 yards, two touchdowns and eight interceptions. The only way you should be rolling with Walker in two-QB superflex leagues this weekend is if you're pretty desperate at the position.
