2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that outfielder Trayce Thompson will start Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the San Diego Padres on Friday in center field, not Cody Bellinger against Padres left-hander Blake Snell. Chris Taylor (neck) will make his first appearance in the postseason in left field. Bellinger actually hit slightly better against lefties this year (.213) by going 32-for-150, but only two of his 19 home runs came against southpaws in 87 games against them. In the first two games of the Division Series against San Diego, Bellinger has gone 1-for-6 with four strikeouts at the bottom of the Dodgers batting order. Thompson is hitless in eight plate appearances with two walks and three strikeouts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
