Matt Olson Hitting Third In Game 2
2 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson is starting at first base and is hitting third in Game 2 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Zack Wheeler. Olson went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run as the Braves fell short 7-6 in the Game 1 loss on Tuesday. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger hit .240/.325/.477 with an .802 OPS, 34 home runs, 103 RBI and 86 runs scored in 616 at-bats in his first year in Atlanta as Freddie Freeman's replacement. He has 73 home runs and 214 RBI in his last two seasons with the Braves and Oakland Athletics and will remain a serious power threat for Atlanta this postseason.
