Chris Taylor Not In Game 1 Lineup Tuesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor (neck) made the team's roster for the National League Division Series against the San Diego Padres this week, but he's not in the starting lineup for Game 1 on Tuesday. But the 32-year-old will be available as a utility bat and glove off the bench for the Dodgers to begin the series. Trayce Thompson is starting in left field for the Dodgers and is hitting eighth against Padres right-hander Mike Clevinger. Thompson, who began the year with the Padres, hit .268/.364/.537 with a .901 OPS, 13 home runs, 39 RBI, 35 runs scored and four stolen bases in 74 games with LA. He enters the postseason after going 6-for-14 with a homer, two RBI and three runs scored in his final five regular season games.
