2 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman/designated hitter Josh Bell is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday against Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias. Bell showed signs of life at the plate for the Padres in the Wild-Card Series win over the New York Mets by going 3-for-13 with a home run and two RBI, but he'll begin the NLDS on the bench against a tough southpaw. Brandon Drury is serving as the designated hitter on Tuesday and will bat cleanup against Urias. In 155 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers in 2022, Drury hit .299 (44-for-147) with 12 of his 28 home runs and 26 RBI.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
