Rashaad Penny Facing Four-Month Recovery
2 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny (leg) is facing a four-month recovery after he has surgery to fix a fractured fibula. On a one-year deal, he'll be healthy with plenty of time to take free-agent visits once he officially hits the open market next March. Penny will have surgery on Tuesday morning, but the MRI exam on his injured ankle came back relatively clean with no deltoid or associated issues. He will undergo tight-rope surgery and have his fibula plated to stabilize his ankle. Fantasy managers can safely drop the 26-year-old in single-year leagues. In his absence, rookie Kenneth Walker III will become the primary back in Seattle, with DeeJay Dallas stepping up for an elevated role behind him for the rest of the season.
