C.J. Cron Continues To Sit With Hand Injury
2 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron (hand) remains out of the starting lineup on Friday against the San Diego Padres. Cron will miss his second straight game after leaving Wednesday's contest early when he was hit by a pitch on his left hand. Consider him day-to-day for now. The 32-year-old has been an excellent source of power at Coors Field in 2022, as he has 29 home runs and 101 RBI in 547 at-bats. Rookie Michael Toglia will get another start at first base and hit fifth on Friday against Padres left-hander Sean Manaea. Toglia will be playing in his 21st major-league game on Friday, and he's gone 17-for-74 (.230) with two home runs and 10 RBI.
