Steelers Not Considering Benching Mitch Trubisky
2 years agoHeading into the Thursday night game against the division-rival Cleveland Browns in Week 3, the Pittsburgh Steelers haven't had any conversations about replacing quarterback Mitch Trubisky as the starter under center. Going into the start of the regular season, the hope was that Trubisky would remain the starter for the entire season. But the former Chicago Bears QB has struggled through two weeks and so far in Thursday's game against Cleveland, leading to rumblings about rookie first-rounder Kenny Pickett potentially taking over sooner than later. Pickett is the future of this organization, but the Steelers want to see Trubisky push the ball down the field more and stretch the field.
