Brandin Cooks Has Contract Restructured
2 years agoThe Houston Texans restructured wide receiver Brandin Cooks' deal on Tuesday, and his new salary cap figure is now at $9.755 million, which is down from $10.309 million. Cooks has yet to find the end zone for the Texans and his fantasy managers through the first two games of the 2022 season, but he's drawn a healthy 22 targets against the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. The 28-year-old has 11 receptions for 136 yards (12.4 yards per catch) in the early going and is realistically the only Houston receiver worth using in starting lineups moving forward. Cooks remains quarterback Davis Mills' go-to target through the air, and he'll be in play as a WR2 in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.
