Gio Urshela Out Of The Lineup Saturday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Gio Urshela (foot) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Urshela exited Friday's game against the Blue Jays early with a sprain in the mid-arch of his left foot, and he's being considered day-to-day for now. It's bad timing, too, as he was hitting .359 with two home runs in his last 10 games. Overall, the former Yankee is hitting .270/.330/.403 with five home runs, 23 RBI and 20 runs scored in 48 games in his first season with the Twins. Rookie Jose Miranda, who clobbered two home runs Friday night, is at third base and is hitting fifth against Jays right-hander Jose Berrios on Saturday. Miranda is hitting just .185 in his first 23 big-league games, but he does have four homers and 10 RBI in 81 at-bats.
