2 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal will serve as the team's leadoff hitter in Tuesday's game against right-hander Kevin Gausman and the Toronto Blue Jays. This will be his first leadoff opportunity of the year. He's primarily hit in the heart of the order this season. The team's primary leadoff hitter, Tim Anderson (groin), was placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Yoan Moncada (quadriceps) is out on Tuesday, but seems to be the best candidate for leadoff duties while Anderson is out. Grandal has struggled significantly at the plate this year, slashing .169/.279/.225 with two home runs, nine RBI and six runs over 41 games.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
