Packers Hope David Bakhtiari Is Ready For Training Camp
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that the team is hoping that offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) is ready for training camp this summer. "Our plan all along was to hold him from this and get strong and hopefully be ready to go for training camp," LaFleur said. Bakhtiari is in attendance at voluntary organized team activities, but he's not taking part in practice as he recovers from a serious knee injury that he suffered late in 2020. The 30-year-old two-time All-Pro played in just one game for the Packers last year, but the team doesn't view his injury as a long-term concern. Getting Bakhtiari back as quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind-side protector in 2022 would be big for Green Bay's offense.
