3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jesse Winker went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored in the team's 6-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. The 28-year-old is off to a slow start to his Mariners career. Over 11 games this year, he's slashing just .143/.362/.143 and he's still searching for his first extra-base hit. As usual, he's been plagued by his struggles against lefties. He's gone 0-for-8 against southpaws this year. On the bright side, his plate discipline has been as good as ever with a 10.6% strikeout rate (92nd percentile) and a 25.5% walk rate (99th percentile).
