BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 30% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Through six weeks of play, the Milwaukee Brewers have featured a closing carousel in the wake of All-Star closer Devin Williams’ multi-month setback with a back injury. First it was the flamethrowing Abner Uribe as the favorite for saves after collecting three of them in the opening week, and then it was Joel Payamps in mid-to-late April. Now, it appears Trevor Megill is Milwaukee's preferred ninth-inning man.
With Uribe now playing in the minor leagues, the major league bullpen hierarchy has narrowed down considerably. The fireballing Megill has picked up three saves for the Brewers since late April, settling in with a superb 1.04 ERA (2.34 FIP) and 0.80 WHIP while striking out eight and walking three over 8 2/3 innings this year.

If Megill continues to throw well, he could cement himself as the Brew Crew's primary stopper until Williams returns, which isn’t expected to happen until after July's All-Star break. This situation is far from settled, but Megill’s grip on the job was strengthened when Payamps surrendered three runs on five hits in one-third of an inning in the May 8 series finale against the Kansas City Royals.
Fantasy managers needing saves would be wise to add Megill while he’s only rostered in about a quarter of Yahoo leagues.
