ERIC CROSS' LATEST PROSPECT RANKING: NA
CALL-UP ETA: NA
ANALYSIS: Atlanta Braves starting pitching prospect Owen Murphy has been off to a dominant start at High-A and is worth adding in dynasty formats.
The 20th selection in the 2022 MLB Draft has posted a 1.52 ERA and 0.74 WHIP with 41 strikeouts across 29 ⅔ innings.
However, when removing his worst outing of the season on May 1, Murphy has a 1.13 ERA and 0.63 WHIP with 37 strikeouts over 24 innings in 2024.

The right-handed pitcher had made great progress this season compared to his 2023 production when he posted a 4.72 ERA and 1.28 WHIP across both Low and High-A.
One reason for this drastic improvement in his statistics is due to how well he has performed against right-handed batters. Last season, he allowed a 1.28 WHIP and 17 free passes against righties, but this season, he has an excellent 0.54 WHIP and has only surrendered five walks.
The No. 5 prospect in the Atlanta system is worth monitoring over the summer and is worth adding in deeper dynasty leagues.
