BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues
LATEST PROSPECT RANKING: No. 4
CALL-UP ETA: May
UPDATE: Kyle Manzardo was called up by the Guardians on Monday May 6th with Steven Kwan hitting the IL.
ANALYSIS: The only thing stopping Kyle Manzardo from getting called up to the major leagues is probably the lack of a clear-cut position on the Cleveland Guardians roster. His gaudy .324/.400/.667 triple-slash line with eight home runs, nine doubles, 19 RBI, and 24 runs scored in 115 plate appearances (26 games) at Triple-A Columbus certainly has nothing to do with it.
Unreal! #Guardians 23yr old (1B) prospect Kyle Manzardo with a solo HR in the 6th inning for Columbus 400 feet with a 104.3 exit velocity. It's his 3rd XBH of the game and he has 7 HR's in his last 10 games. 🤯#ForTheLand pic.twitter.com/arWT4kOlRh

Manzardo was just as good during spring training, but with fellow left-handed hitter and righty masher Josh Naylor dominating reps at first base, the Guardians chose to keep their No. 2 prospect for 2024 in the minor leagues so that he could play every day. David Fry has also given Cleveland solid production as a right-handed pivot at the cold corner.
The 23-year-old Manzardo is not going to stop mashing in the minors, and even if he can’t be Cleveland’s primary first baseman, there’s an opening as their everyday designated hitter. If the first-place Guards start to stumble in the standings a bit, look for Manzardo to get the call. He’d be worth an immediate fantasy add for those in need of power numbers.
