ANALYSIS: Jasson Dominguez's significant left oblique strain is a major blow for the Yankees' top prospect, sidelining him for up to eight weeks. Despite this, Dominguez remains a must-stash talent in deeper fantasy leagues due to his elite potential and dynamic skill set.
Nicknamed "The Martian," the 21-year-old slashed .356/.404/.609 with six homers and 13 RBIs in 23 games before the injury. His MLB debut last September was electrifying, with four home runs in his first eight games before Tommy John surgery cut his season short. After a strong rehab stint, Dominguez impressed at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, hitting .389/.405/.639, reaffirming his status as a future star.

Had he been healthy, Dominguez likely would have been called up today to bolster the Yankees' outfield after Giancarlo Stanton was placed on the IL due to a hamstring strain. The Yankees' outfield depth is thin, exacerbated by injuries to Everson Pereira and the looming free agencies of Alex Verdugo and Juan Soto. Dominguez's return could significantly boost the Yankees' lineup, making him a valuable asset when he returns and a cornerstone for the future.
