BALLER MOVE: Add in 15+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 20% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Washington Nationals starting pitching prospect DJ Herz was recently promoted to the major leagues and has performed well at times and is worth a look in deeper leagues.
Through his first two starts, Herz posted a poor 6.28 ERA, 1.92 WHIP, and a 5:8 BB:K ratio.
However, in his third start, he caught the eye of many fantasy managers. On June 15, the 23-year-old southpaw tossed six one-hit innings against the Miami Marlins. He struck out a season-high 13 batters.

In his most recent fourth start on Friday, June 21, Herz faced a challenging environment in the hitter-friendly Coors Field. Despite this, the former eighth-round selection struck out five batters across three ⅔ frames, showcasing his potential.
While his cumulative 4.50 ERA and 1.33 WHIP are not eye-catching from a fantasy perspective, he has strong underlying metrics that suggest he could have better days ahead. He sits with a stellar 34.8% whiff rate and 32.5% K rate. In addition, he has a 3.06 xERA and .210 xBA.
With his elite strikeout upside, he is most definitely worth a look in 15-team leagues.
