BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-End QB1
ANALYSIS: While Baker Mayfield doesn't have rushing upside and wasn't a top-10 QB in 2023, the Commanders defense, especially the secondary, was gashed through 2023. Mayfield could have a big day with his array of weapons on offense.
Mayfield experienced a career resurgence in 2023, surpassing 4,000 passing yards and throwing 28 TDs to just 10 INTs. The Buccaneers have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and rookie breakout candidate Jalen McMillan as well as Cade Otton and Rachaad White to throw it to.
Mike Evans had a spectacular season in 2023, finishing with 13 receiving touchdowns, tied with the league lead with Tyreek Hill. Evans gained 1,255 yards on receptions and looked to be in peak form. He is a solid bet to make the Hall of Fame and can put up huge numbers with 100+ yards and multiple touchdowns in any game. Not only has Evans been remarkably consistent, but he still produces jaw-dropping plays.

Godwin and McMillan are no slouches, either. Godwin has been fantastic out of the slot in his career, and McMillan is a somewhat unheralded prospect who outproduced fellow Huskies WR Ja'Lynn Polk when both were healthy and playing together. Otton is a solid tight end, and White is an elusive RB best utilized as a pass-catcher.
On the other side of the ball, the Commanders pass defense was abysmal last year. They ranked dead last in passing yards allowed last season and surrendered a league-high 39 passing touchdowns. On average, opposing teams were throwing over two passing touchdowns and 272 passing yards per game against the Commanders.
Mayfield is a start in Week 1. Though he may not have the massive upside some other QBs do, if you don't have an elite fantasy QB on your roster, Mayfield is a fine start.

BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/FLEX ANALYSIS: The Tennessee Titans are looking to bounce back after a tough defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bears in Week 1. Ray-Ray McCloud III - Week 2 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Sit In All Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: WR7 ANALYSIS: Ray-Ray McCloud III surprisingly led all Atlanta pass-catchers in targets (seven) and receiving yards (52) in the Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. While his opening-week showing puts him on the fantasy football radar, he should not be expected to continue that trend. McCloud […]

BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3 ANALYSIS: New York Giants running Devin Singletary made his debut with the team last week, but he had fewer carries than expected and was also somewhat inefficient. The 27-year-old rushed just 10 times for 37 yards, though he salvaged his performance in PPR leagues with […]
Jahan Dotson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12-Team Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5 ANALYSIS: Even if A.J. Brown misses time, Philadelphia Eagles WR Jahan Dotson isn't worth putting in your starting lineups. He's brand new to the Eagles offensive scheme, hasn't had much time to adjust, and isn't a good receiver anyway. Dotson was let go by the Commanders […]
